Silver opened her eyes. After four, long years. She was alive. She took a deep breath in, marveling at the feel of oxygen in her lungs. She sat up, shaking her head as she looked around the white room.

A doctor's office.

Silver yawned, then looked down at her body. She didn't see what she had expected. An orange body with a cream colored belly and claws. She twisted around to look at her back. Two tiny wings that shouldn't be able to carry her new weight. Silver slowly moved them, stretching the greenish membrane back and forth.

A Dragonite.

Silver closed her eyes. Of course she wouldn't be in her original body. It had decayed years ago.

A sleepy groan nearby drew her attention. "…?" Silver opened her mouth to speak but no sound came out. Right. Death took her voice as her price.

A sheet moved on a nearby table. Silver stood up, wobbling, as she made her way towards the sheet. It groaned again, this time Silver realized what it was. There was a body below that sheet.

'Terra!' she thought, grabbing the sheet and pulling it back. There lay Terra. Her body covered in slashes and bruises. Three deep cuts slid down her left eye, the eye itself had a white bandage over it. As did most of the girl's body. Bandages were wrapped around her bust and hips, keeping her descent.

All of the bandages were matted with blood.

Hate immediately sparked inside of the Dragonair-turned-Dragonite. When a door opened behind her she spun around, growling. A woman stalked into the room, other than her firey red hair she could have been Terra's older sister.

Melissa didn't look a day past thirty-five. Silver snarled, standing defensively in front of Terra. "Don't make me laugh, Silver," Melissa said, waving her hand at the Dragonite. "Salamence could send you right back to the underworld, now stand aside. I need to examine the…" Melissa sneered at Terra. "I need to examine Terra."

Silver glanced back at Terra who grimaced, as if she was having a bad dream. The Dragonite slowly stepped aside, as Melissa stepped up to the table.

"Tch…" the woman said with disgust. "I can't believe this hideous girl is mine." Silver growled. Melissa glanced at the Dragonite then back at Terra. "At least her brother was cute…" she murmured, then pulled the sheet completely off.

Terra's left ankle was clearly broken, her legs just as slashed as her torso and arms. Silver snarled, the anger rising. Melissa sighed. "Well…The boss will be glad to know she'll be operable soon."

Silver watched Melissa make her way around the table. She grabbed Terra's left angle then looked at Silver.

"I'm fixing her," Melissa pointed out. "She might scream. She might wake up. Okay? You'll have to hand me those-" Melissa nodded towards two splints on the table beside Silver "-and I'll splint her ankle so it can heal properly."

Silver nodded, watching as Melissa quickly twisted Terra's foot back into place. Terra's eyes flew open as pain coursed through her broken body. With a scream she sat up, grabbing Melissa's hand and glaring at the woman.

Silver gently touched Terra's shoulder. The girl turned to look at the Dragonite, confusion washing over her face. Melissa placed the splints and wrapped Terra's leg.

"Who-?" Terra looked from Silver to Melissa. "Who are you?" Then she paused, looking down at her bandaged body then at her hand. "Who am I…?" she whispered.

Melissa leaned on the table. "Your name is Terra Tren," she said. Terra looked at her mother, completely confused. "My name is Melissa, and this Dragonite is Silver."

Terra spun to look at Silver. "Silver?!" she gasped. A small smile spread across Silver's face. "When did you evolve?" Silver just smiled, patting Terra's arm gently.

"I am Melissa," the Rocket admin said, continuing to speak as if Terra had never spoken. "And these two are-" Melissa pulled two Pokeballs out of her pocket and handed them to Terra.

"-Dark and Star!" Terra said, grinning like an idiot. Silver smiled. Death was right. She did remember them. Melissa cleared her throat, drawing Terra's attention back to her.

"Listen to me carefully, Terra," Melissa said. "You work for Team Rocket. We're an amazing organization that brings the full potential out of Pokemon and their Trainers. You and Terk were being trained to be the best fighters in the world. Terk, however, decided to leave us and nearly killed you when you tried to talk some sense into him."

Terra shook her head. "Wait," she said, glancing from Silver to Melissa. "Who is Terk? And…What am I being trained to do?"

Silver's eyebrows came together. She really didn't remember Terk-her twin brother. Melissa raised her eyebrows in contrast with Silver's, then looked at the Dragonite and smirked. "You," she said, returning her gaze to Terra. "Are a phenomenal trainer with battle skills many would kill to have."

"Well…" Terra paused. "I didn't kill anyone to become a great battler…Did I?" Melissa shook her head, grinning evilly.

"Why don't we test this out. You take your three Pokemon and we'll set up a match. Just to make sure that Terk didn't mess up the way you battle when he…injured you." Terra grinned, nodding. Silver grimaced.

This wasn't supposed to happen! Terra was supposed to slowly regain her memory and life would return to normal…Well…Silver glanced at Terra's human ears. As normal at it could be. For Terra anyway.

Terra slowly slung her legs over the side of the table. "Gah…" she grumbled. "My body feels so stiff!" Silver ducked her head to hide a small smile. Rigor must have been wearing off.

Terra looked pathetically up at Silver. "Can you help me, Silver?" she asked. Silver smiled. She had always felt like a mother to Terra, especially since she was one of the few who Terra relied on.

Slowly Silver lifted Terra up, holding her in her arms as they walked down the hallways. "Uh.." Terra said softly. "Melissa?" Melissa groaned softly.

"What?"

Silver growled quietly. "Can I..um…have some clothes?" the girl asked. Melissa paused then turned to face Terra. She opened her mouth to say something snide, then glanced at the Dragonite. Silver was already snarling at the woman.

"Fine," she said,"Stay here. I'll be right back." Melissa walked away, her high-heeled shoes clicking on the floor, even after she vanished down another hallway.

Terra's eyes traveled around the hallway, amazed by everything. Silver watched her, amazed. She truly forgot everything, save for her three Pokemon. Even that Team Rocket had once tortured her, the scars on her back and shoulders signs of that. Now most of her body was bruised, and the three deep cuts over her eye…Silver wanted to kill Melissa.

"Here you go," Melissa said as she reappeared. Silver slowly let Terra down, the girl holding onto her Dragonite's arm to steady herself-not wanting to hurt her broken foot anymore than it already was.

Terra pulled the black top on over her head, a pair of black slacks on after. She glanced at the boots Melissa was holding and shook her head. Silver smiled. Terra had never liked shoes, she found them too confining.

At least some things didn't change.

"Alright, let's go then," Melissa said, glancing at Silver as she picked Terra up once again.

As they entered the arena Silver stared at the stands. Apparently every Rocket member that Terra had ever pissed off(and that was a lot of Rockets)had decided to show up and watch the girl battle. Most booed her when the three of them walked out of the big double doors until Melissa yelled for them all to shut up.

Silver sat Terra down on a bench on her end of the arena. "So…" Terra looked up at Melissa. "Who am I gonna battle?" Melissa smiled. "Three people. Each is a surprise."

Terra nodded. "Okay," she said, somehow seeing that as fair.

Melissa looked up at Silver then laughed before walking off. Terra hadn't noticed the evil glint in her eye but Silver had.

"This is a battle between…" an announcer yelled into a speaker "…The infamous Terra of Blackthorn, and three of Team Rocket's finest!"

"Blackthorn?" Terra murmured, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Silver figured she would have to explain the world to Terra later. The girl needed to learn the Regions. That, was a must.

"First battle! Terra versus…" A grunt appeared out of the double doors on the opposite side of the arena. "Reggie!" The crowd whooped and cheered, some even chanting Reggie's name.

Reggie pointed an accusing finger at Terra. "This is for last time!" he yelled. Terra cocked her head in confusion. 'Okaaaay….' she thought, waiting for him to throw a Pokeball.

"Go, Xatu!"

A red Pokemon appeared in a flash of light. Terra watched the Xatu for a moment before deciding on a Pokemon. "Dark!" she said, throwing a Pokeball.

"Sol!" the grey-colored Absol barked when she appeared. She turned to glance at Terra, smiling happily, then looking at the Xatu that was her opponent.

"Xatu, use Miracle Eye!" Reggie yelled.

Terra grimaced then shrugged. "Alright then, Dark use Night Slash!" she yelled. "Absol!" Dark barked, lunging at the Xatu.

"Xatu dod-"

Reggie was too late, Dark was too fast. The attack slammed into the Xatu, knocking the Psyychic-Flying bird backwards slightly.

"Xatu, use Night Shade!"

Terra rolled her eyes. Even a child knew Ghost Type attacks did hardly any damage to Dark Types. "Dark, take the hit then use Bite and finish it off!" the girl yelled.

"Ab!" Dark replied, then ran towards the Xatu as it unleashed its attack. Dark took the attack head on. Reggie watched in horror as his Xatu fell, Dark's teeth sunk into it's wing.

"Xaaa…." the Pokemon whimpered pathetically before going limp. Dark dropped the wing then smiled at Terra, running to the girl.

"Absol! Sol! Ababb!" she said, placing her front paws on the girl's lap. Terra smiled, then cocked her head in slight confusion.

"Sorry, Dark, I don't speak Pokemon," Terra said sheepishly. Dark stared, taken aback. That was new. Then she realized her trainer was missing something. Her Umbreon parts!

She looked at the Dragonite, watching her carefully.

<Silver?> Dark asked, eyes widening. Silver nodded. Dark sat down, feeling numb. <What happened to Terra? And…Why…why are you alive?>

Silver shook her head. 'I'll have to tell you later,' she thought, directing the thought to the Absol. Dark jumped, eyes widening.

<That's new!> she said. Silver nodded.

'I can no longer speak like you or the others. My voice was taken away so that I could live,' she explained, then glanced up as Reggie left the arena and a new opponent appeared.

'Can't talk now,' Silver said quickly. 'I promise. I'll explain everything later!'

Dark nodded then turned to the battle field and the new opponent the announcer had just declared was Amelia.

"This is a double battle, Terra! Choose your Pokemon carefully!" she yelled, then threw her two Pokeballs.

"Nine!" the red dog-type Pokemon yelled, shaking his huge mane of fur.

"Geeeen!" the second Pokemon cheered when he appeared. The Ghost-type stuck his tongue out in mockery of Terra's Pokemon.

Terra grimaced. "Star! she yelled, throwing a Pokeball.

"Eev!" Star said when she appeared, shaking her blue body in excitement.

"Silver, you get in there too," she said, glancing up at the Dragonite. Silver smiled, heart beat quickening at the idea of the battle.

Silver landed next to Star on the battlefield. Star glanced up at Silver, then at the Arcanine-her opponent. 'I'll explain later,' Silver told Star, figuring the Eevee was confused. Star nodded. <M'kay.>

"Star, Quick Attack on that Arcanine! Silver, Dragon Rage on the Gengar!" Terra yelled.

"Eevee!" Star yelled, launching herself towards the Arcanine while Silver charged up her Dragon Rage attack.

"Arcanine Flamethrower!" Amelia commanded. "Gengar, Hypnosis!"

Star slammed into Arcanine's chest, her small form stronger than the larger dog had anticipated. With a growl he stumbled backwards, then unleashed the powerful flames from his mouth.

"Star get out of there!" Terra yelled. Star grunted when she landed then spun around, darting out of the way of most of the flames.

"Eev!" she yelped when a flame licked at her paw. She jumped away, afraid to put her front right paw on the ground.

Silver unleashed her attack before the Gengar released his. Her attack hit him square in the face. Being weak to the dragon-type move, the Gengar groaned, toppling onto his back before passing out.

Amelia returned her Gengar in frustration then yelled at her Arcanine.

"Arcanine, use Thunder Fang on that damn Eevee!" Amelia yelled.

"No! Silver stop the attack with Hyper Beam!" Terra yelled. Silver quickly charged her attack then blasted it towards the Arcanine just as he jumped to attack Star.

Star was already wincing, ears flattened against her head and eyes closed shut tightly.

"ARCANE!" the fire dog yelled as he was blasted backwards. Star looked up to see Silver's mouth open, the blast of energy coming from her!

<Silver!> she barked in relief, shoulders relaxing slightly.

Arcanine slammed into the ground, sliding backwards with the force of the attack as it ended. Amelia, defeated, hung her head and sighed. She recalled her Arcanine then turned and left the arena.

Star and Silver returned back to Terra, both smiling like idiots. Happy and excited.

"You two were great!" Terra said, scratching Star's head. She smiled up at Silver. "It feels like I haven't battled with you three in ages! Man, if feels so good to have a good battle!"

Dark and Star exchanged confused looks then looked up at Silver who shook her head. 'I'll explain later,' she repeated.

Terra looked back at the arena. "I wonder who's next…?" she asked aloud, just as the doors swung open again.

Melissa stalked out, grinning like the vile being she was.

"M-Melissa?!" Terra yipped, nervous. Silver, Dark and Star all looked at each other nervously.

"This is a three round, three on three match, Terra," Melissa explained. "Meaning-"

"I know what you mean," Terra spat, anger rising as she watched Melissa. Strange, since Terra didn't remember any time when Melissa had made her angry.

"Then let's battle," Melissa said, smirking.

Terra nodded. "I hope you like losing, Melissa," she snarled.

Silver sighed and shook her head, Terra truly hadn't changed much. Dark and Star exchanged nervous glances then sighed and waited for Terra's orders.

This would be a difficult match…
Sorry guys.

I had fully intended for this to only be 3 parts long. Now I'm thinking it'll be either a long 4 parts or will end up being 5 parts.

I won't lose interest, don't worry. xD

Melissa is cheeeeap, moving to battle once Terra's party is weakened. D|

I like how you portrayed the Pokemon's speech. Reminds me of Animorphs. XD
